"Letters from Home" is a series of inkjet prints that combine family photographs from the 1920s, ’30s and ’40s with excerpts from my grandmother’s letters written from Ireland to her adult children in America. My grandmother, with her deeply felt words, is the main storyteller in this journey, as she offers an insight into a family’s immigrant experience and the love, isolation, loneliness, and joy that surrounds such experience.
